• Song Section
This is the main section of NordBeat's Jukebox to manage your Song files.
| NOTE:
All functions in song section will affect always *all* songs in database! Be careful when using some functions like 'Folder Structure Generator'! |
• Move files to flat
folder...
Move all files
to one flat folder, no folder structure will be generated.
• Copy files to flat
folder...
Make a copy of
all files to one flat folder, no folder structure will be generated.
• Folder Structure
Generator...
You can
create folder structures of your sound files on the hard disk directly!
You can choose Album, Artist, Genre and Rate
to create folders and you can even combine
two, tree or all of this types for sub folders!

• Rename all file names using database
tags...
You can select between Album, Artist, Track
Number, Title, Time and SongID
and a delimiter to choose your new desired file name
format of files on the harddisks!
NOTE:
There's a auto number function inside to avoid overwriting existing files.
If you selected i.e. Title only for renaming the files
and you have multiple sound files
with the same name like 'Sample Title', the 'Renamer' will rename the songs like
this way:
- Sample
Title.mp3
- Sample Title1.mp3
- Sample Title2.mp3
- Sample Title3.mp3
- etc...

•
Update
Tags of all modified
files
This
function will write and update all modified sound
files only with ID3V1
and ID3V2 tags with data
from the Jukebox's database.
• Update
Tags of all
files
This
function will write and update all Sound
files with ID3V1
and ID3V2 tags with data
from the Jukebox's database.
• Auto Assign Songs for Title / Artist in
Songtitle
If you
converting Audio-CDs to MP3 and you are using CDDB or FreeDB to get (sometimes)
correct Song Titles, Album name, Artists, etc... from these
internet databases, you get in most cases
these results:
|
Album: 'The Trance Comes Over You!' Artist: 'Various' Songtitle: 'NordBeat--Moonflight' or 'NordBeat / Moonflight' or something else... |
And that's really not
way I should be!
This 'Auto assign' function is looking for common delimiters
in the song title like:
' - '
(space+minus+space)
'--' (two minus)
' / ' (space+'/'+space)
' ' (two spaces)
'Auto assign' will search now with the left and right
part for already existing Artists in database and
will automatically assign these songs with these artists.
If Artist 'NordBeat' exists in database and we run 'Auto assign', we
should get this result:
|
Album: 'The Trance Comes Over You!' Artist: 'NordBeat' Songtitle: 'Moonflight' |
• Manual Assign Songs for Title / Artist in
Songtitle...
In principle
the same function like 'Auto assign'. 'Manual assign' function is also looking
for common
delimiters in the song title like:
' - '
(space+minus+space)
'--' (two minus)
' / ' (space+'/'+space)
' ' (two spaces)

• Check all files for
availability
Use this
helper tool compare all sound files to check if they exist on the hard disk, CD-Rom,
etc...
with the Jukebox's database. If a song no longer exists (i.e.
CD-Rom removed), the song will be
marked as red in the lists.
